Hi, I’m Wesley. Welcome to First30Guitar.com! I’m so glad you’ve decided to see what this site is all about. Hopefully, you’re here because you want to learn guitar online! I’m here because I want to help people find success in the first year of their lifelong guitar journey.
Because there’s a vast community of guitar players in the world, and I want you to join us and become another person who understands music through the guitar!
But I know that it’s not an easy journey to take! When I set out 30 years ago to learn to play, I had no idea where I was going or what I was doing. I had no clue that being a guitar player was going to shape the way that I understood music as well as become part of my profession!
Beat the Odds
You may have a similar path ahead of you, but there are a bunch of roadblocks ahead. Get this! I read an article recently from 2018 that explained that over 1 million people a year start to learn the guitar but that only 10% continue on! 90% drop out in the first year!!!
So, I started thinking, “Why?” And “What can I do about it?” And that’s why this site is here. I want to help you beat the odds and begin a lifelong journey with guitar that defies the stats and goes far beyond the first year.
